Workplace Diversity Training


Equity is achieved when you’re committed to providing fair treatment, access, and opportunities to every employee. Fighting for equity in the workplace means identifying and removing barriers that prevent the full participation of everyone. Inclusion means that traditionally excluded people or groups share power in your organization too.  When you train your staff about these important ideas, you create a positive work culture where everyone can feel accepted, be productive, and collaborate well. 


Unconscious Bias 

Another type of workplace diversity training type is unconscious bias. Also known as implicit bias, it focuses on beliefs someone may have about societal stereotypes. Many people don't realize they have personal biases and unconsciously use them to cast judgment. The key to managing unconscious bias training is to help your staff recognize their own biases and how to avoid them successfully. 


Microaggressions

Another workplace diversity training type includes microaggressions or subtle slurs or insults. They may convey hostile, derogatory, or negative messages about someone’s ability, race, sexual orientation, gender, or age.  While not always intentional, they can be harmful. Microaggressions training gives your staff the necessary skills to avoid these biases and to respond effectively.
